Splitting a wedding budget in Bangladesh

A realistic starting split for venue, food, decor, photos and the honeymoon.

For most Dhaka weddings, food and venue together take 60 to 65% of the budget. That leaves decor at around 15%, photography at 10 to 12%, and the rest for gifts, attire extras and the honeymoon.

Catering is priced per plate, so guest count is the biggest lever you have. Trimming 100 guests from a 600 person reception often frees more money than downgrading any single vendor.

Keep 8 to 10% as a buffer. Last minute guest additions and overtime charges are the two most common overruns we see.
